Another Night

The night was cool and clear. The bedroom was dark and lonely. It was just another typical night for her. She pulled her long night gown over her head and climbed into a large, cold empty bed. Her hand gently rubbed the empty spot next to her. The sheets felt good to her but she was wishing that it weren't the sheets she was touching. It was going to be another long, lonely night without him. She sighed heavily and turned to face the large bedroom window as she hugged her pillow tightly. The moonlight was already starting to pour into the room giving the room a light glow. She looked towards the sky while laying there knowing soon she would no longer be alone.

The stars where shining and twinkling brightly in the clear sky. Her mind was flooded with thoughts of him. She could only hope that he was thinking of her. A few tears running down her face caught her off guard as she wiped them away. She was happy that he could not see her like this, what a silly fool she might look to him. She continued to look at the sky until she finally drifted off to sleep. Her dreams took her right there with him. She was no longer alone but with the one she would love until the end. But sadly, she knew that the dream would not last forever, that she would wake up and be alone once more.
